About Us
The NEW HOPE CHRISTIAN CHURCH was organized in 1994 with a relentless commitment to the preaching of God’s Word. As an independent, non-denominational Body we are committed to presenting the whole counsel of God once and for all delivered to the saints. As time marches on we eagerly await the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. As believers in His Gospel, we want to reach as many people as possible with the life-saving message of salvation found. Our desire is to “lift up Christ” so He may draw all men to Himself. He is the only hope for a lost and dying world, providing life, joy and peace not only for this temporal world but through all eternity.
Mission Statement
The New Hope Christian Church exists to glorify God by changing ordinary people into extraordinary servants for Christ.. Our Core Values We want the Church at New Hope to: Grow through praising God (WORSHIP - You were created for God’s glory). Grow through sharing with one another (FELLOWSHIP - You were called to a family). Grow through studying the Word (DISCIPLESHIP - You were saved to be like Christ). Grow through serving in the Church and the world (PARTNERSHIP - You were shaped for serving God). Grow through proclaiming the Gospel (AMBASSADORSHIP - You were equipped for a mission.)
Beliefs
As an independent, non-denominational Church New Hope Christian Church believes: The Bible is the revelation of God to mankind, the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God, and is the final authority on matters of faith, doctrine and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God is the Creator and Sustainer of everything that exists, is Sovereign over all created things in heaven and earth, is a righteous Judge and the only supreme God (Deuteronomy 4:35; 1 Samuel 2:2). Jesus Christ is the One and Only Son of God Who was virgin-born, sinless, crucified on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for mankind, raised from the dead on the third day and is coming again to claim His Bride, the Church (Matthew 1:18 & 23; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; 1 Peter 2:24; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; John 14:3; Acts 1:11). He is the only way to being reconciled to God (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). The Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, righteousness and judgment (John 16:8), brings life to a heart dead in sin (2 Thessalonians 2:13), indwells, sanctifies and instructs each believer, equips them for service in the Church and in the world in order to fulfill the purposes of God (Ephesians 4:12-14) and seals them until the day of Christ’s return (Ephesians 1:13-14). Man is, by nature, a sinner from birth (Psalm 51:5; Romans 8:5-8). Salvation is a free gift bestowed by God’s grace, received and secured through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:1- 9). Salvation is granted wholly by God’s grace based on the redeeming work of Christ Jesus on the cross and the merit of His blood and not on the basis of human merit or works. One who comes to Christ with saving faith must repent of sins, confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, be baptized into Christ, and live forever in faithful obedience to Him. Baptism, by immersion in water, unites the believer with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection (Romans 6:1- 4). It is an outward visible sign of genuine saving faith, granting us God’s gifts of grace: the forgiveness of sins and the indwelling presence of His Holy Spirit. The Church is the Bride of Christ (Revelation 19:7 & 21:2), purchased by His blood to be presented spotless before God when Jesus returns. (Ephesians 5:25-27) Elders are godly men entrusted with the shepherding of the flock of God. As spiritual leaders of the local Church, they lead the Church and preserve the purity of the Church through prayer and diligent study of the Word of God. (Titus 1:5-9) Spiritual Gifts are given to every believer by the power and authority of the Holy Spirit. These gifts enable God’s people to minister in the Church and the world. (Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31) The Purpose of the Church on earth is to glorify God by fulfilling His last command – “go into all the world and make disciples.” (Matthew 28:16-20).
